3D Printing

            3D printing is a new way of printing that allows you to 3D print almost any object you can think of. 3D printing works by using an additive process, where successive layers of material are laid down in different shapes. 3D printing has become more affordable now and it has revolutionized the printing industry. 3D printing also has several practical uses like printing a model for a class that you couldn’t make, or printing a piece of plastic to fix a broken toy.

Strengths- Allows you to print almost anything from jaw implants to prosthetic limbs. You could 3D print medical models. You can print a prototype for a project.

Weaknesses- It’s expensive right now. You are limited to the size of 3D printing something. You have to create and enter blueprints into a program, which can get complicated.

Opportunities- It could print organs in the future to transplant into people. It could print a prosthetic limb or print an implant. You can 3D print skin onto burn victims. 

Threats- You can 3D print plastic weapons that can get past security at the airport undetected. 

Timeline

Using the website Tiki-Toki, I made a timeline for my global issues topic. The website is free to use, and is easy to make timelines with. The website allows you to do many things, but you must be a member to use all of the tools. I will probably use this website if I have to make a timeline for a class.

Quizlet

  Quizlet is a website that allows you to make vocab cards. This website is useful if you need to study for a test, or if you just want to learn. If I need to make cards to study for a test, then I will definitely use this website.

Photoshop

Photoshop is a program that allows you to edit photos and make them look better by adding different effects or editing them, or even by cutting other pictures and putting them in the photo. I believe that Photoshop is one of the best things to use when editing photos and I think it is really fun. I know that I will definitely use Photoshop in the future because of how useful it is and because of the many options you can use when editing photos.

Comic Master

Comic Master is a web 2.0 tool that allows you to make a comic. This web tool is very easy to use, but it won't let you embed your comics, so that is a con. I will probably use this web tool if I ever need to make a comic.
